Driving Autonomous Forward
Autonomous vehicles were science fiction until one day they weren’t. Uber’s stated mission is to change how the world moves for the better, and as such, we needed a clear POV on the role of AVs in that future. Through this long-form brand film, we brought that vision to life, showing how Uber is well-positioned to bring autonomous vehicles into the real world today.
Animating autonomous
Uber’s vision for autonomous vehicles is not yet fully realized, and as such, creating a video of that vision in the real world would have been almost impossible. Using this tilt-shift animation style helped us create an approachable depiction of the world Uber envisions for AVs while giving the feeling that it could almost be real-life.
Building the world
A unique challenge in crafting the vehicles was making them reflect the form factors of our partners without infringing on their trademarks. We also took great care to feature riders and users who reflect Uber’s diverse, worldwide audience.
